Review #3-progressive enhancement

Site name:Mozilla.org

Progressive Enhancements are, "a design philosophy that provides a baseline of essential content and functionality to as many users as possible, while delivering the best possible experience only to users of the most modern browsers that can run all the required code."(developer.mozilla.org). Progressive enhancements are needed so that no matter how old the device the user is using, the capabilities are still there and the user experiences everything that a user with a younger and more advanced device.

The sites homepage doesn't validate, it has 19 errors/warning.

I give the site an 9/10 on design, because you can search for what you are looking for, you are also able to find quick information on their homepage, or under the tabs at the top of the screen. You can also change the brightness of a website, by going between dark and light. What could be improved is having more than just a black and white page.

I give the sites usability a 7/10, because the even though there is a search bar, doesn't mean that it's easy to find what you are looking for. You need to be able to know the name of the article almost word for word if you are going to be able to find what you are looking for.

The site does meet it's purpose which is to help explain computer concepts but it also helps to find ways in which to code your website to do one specific thing or another. It gives you HTML, CSS, and Canvas tutorials right on their homepage, so that you can find that information quickly. They also have articles that they use to help explain the different computer terms and components, which you can find using the search bar on any page on the site.
